What is the timeline for the ActivityHero Business Grant contest?
How are Finalists determined?
How can I improve my odds of winning an ActivityHero Business Grant?
Ask your customers, friends and family to vote for you. Make it easy for them by sharing the link to your free ActivityHero listing page with the "Vote Now" and "Write a Review" buttons. Also, after voters vote, they are prompted to write a customer review. Increase your odds by including a request in your email newsletters and social channels. Let your customers know that their reviews provide great feedback, and also earn 3 bonus entries for both of you.
After the end of each month, May through July, three Provider Finalists, along with their corresponding Voter Finalists, will be randomly selected from eligible entries generated by votes and customer reviews.
The Submission and Voting period is April 1 - July 31, 2018. Three Finalists will be announced the first weeks of June, July and August. Finalist judging occurs August 8 - 14, with the Winners announced on August 15, 2018. See the Official Rules for more details.
Is my business eligible to win an ActivityHero Business Grant?
Your business must provide children's camps, classes or activities at locations in the United States. You must complete the Grant Application on this page AND you must have at least 3 valid customer reviews posted prior to each finalist drawing. If you don't apply, you can't win. How are Winners determined?
Judges review the Finalists to select grant Winners, and their corresponding Voters, based on these criteria:
- Clear, compelling and engaging responses in their application; content and imagery used in their free ActivityHero listing; and unique or innovative children’s classes, camps or activities (60%)
- Clear, compelling and helpful content in customer reviews provided during the Submission & Voting period (25%)
- Total eligible Votes (15%)
How will I know if I won?
May I write a customer review if I haven't been a customer yet?
You may tell of your own personal or family's experience while participating or enrolling in their program. All reviews must comply with ActivityHero's review guidelines. ActivityHero reserves the right to reject reviews from posting on ActivityHero business listing pages and from eligibility for the grant contest.
How many businesses may I vote for?
There is no limit to how many businesses you may vote for. However, you may vote for each business only once – only one vote per business per person is allowed.
Will buying services from ActivityHero increase my chances of winning?
Absolutely no purchase is required for any type of entry or for eligibility to win. Purchasing from ActivityHero will not increase your chances of becoming a Finalist or Winner.
All Finalists and Winners will be contacted via email by an ActivityHero representative during the monthly Finalist Announcement periods and August Judging period.

My camp or activity isn't listed. How can I enter?
If you're a provider, simply complete the grant application on this page, which includes creating your free listing. If the activity you want to vote for isn't listed in the Voting Gallery, cast your vote by suggesting a camp or class. We'll notify the business, but you should also share this page with them to encourage them to apply. Businesses can't win if they don't complete the application.
Why do I need an ActivityHero listing page to apply for a grant?
Our grant contest encourages businesses to engage with the families they serve to ask for votes and customer reviews. Those votes and reviews generate entries that increase your odds of winning. Your free listing page has a “Vote Now” button and a link to “Write a Review” to make it easy for you to share one page with your customers, friends, and family to help you win.
